Blue Ridge Mountain Club

Blue Ridge Mountain Club:

Straight out of your daydreams; a life of health, happiness and heart.

Blowing Rock, North Carolina is a very special place. A little town with a big heart, it gently pulls visitors back year after year to enjoy the charming restaurants and cafes, the quaint, inviting inns, a treasure trove of shops and boutiques, and a climate that truly celebrates every season. After a few visits, the conversation turns to “how can we make this our home?”
This region of the state offers so much in the way of natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Within a 30-minute radius is some of the most spectacular public land in the nation, outdoor adventure at your fingertips and the 20 most scenic miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Where other regions in the state truthfully boast magnificent springs, summers and falls, Blowing Rock and nearby Boone also offer a “winter wonderland.” Skiing, snowboarding and tubing put rosy cheeks and big smiles on the residents. There’s nothing brutal about the winters here, just sparkling white beauty, that makes evenings by the fire that much more cozy.

You belong to nature and nature belongs to you.
Blue Ridge Mountain Club, a Reynolds Club Community, sits smack dab in the middle of the best adventure destination of Western North Carolina. Located just 1.5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this 6,212-acre community offers what general manager Jim Pitts calls “U.G.O.” or Unbelievably Great Outdoors. He describes living in this community as like “having a national park in your very own backyard.”
There are miles and miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, and four distinct streams with a good population of Southern Appalachian mountain brook trout. There are waterfalls and natural swimming holes. (When was the last time you felt the giddy joy of swinging into the crisp clear water of a swimming hole on a rope swing?) The community offers endless outdoor pleasures including great places to backpack, camp and fly-fish.
And then, there are the views. With elevations that peak at 4,150 feet and relief of almost 3,000 vertical, creating incomparable views on home sites which range in size from ¾ acre to 10 acres. Blue Ridge Mountain Club is, in effect, the land of “perpetual views.” About 85% of all the home sites here boast views of 15 to 50 miles. The cascading ridgelines produce vistas that are on a scale usually found in the mountains out west, and regardless of the price point you can own a home site with a view that would probably cost three times more elsewhere.

The amenity list is as big as all outdoors. And it’s all debt-free.
“Best Value in the High Country” is a very big part of the message at Blue Ridge Mountain Club. This community offers a clearly superior location with all of the pleasures of Blowing Rock and Boone just outside the gates. The community itself is truly spectacular and all infrastructure is in place and of the highest quality. The community pavilion at Watson Gap Park is a perfect gathering place to meet neighbors or plan an outdoor expedition. There are many planned amenities for the future, including an 18-hole golf course by Rees Jones and a wellness center, but these will prudently wait until the economy and the residents deem the time is right. With so many recreation options, members can “Play Now” at the many facilities located just outside the gates, including immediate access to wonderful golf courses, wellness facilities, fitness, tennis, and spas that feature special rates for Blue Ridge Mountain Club residents. Now is the time to take advantage of very reasonable prices that don’t include hefty POA fees associated with luxurious, but often unused amenities. Because the amenities, including the gatehouse and the sports field, are debt-free Blue Ridge Mountain Club can offer pre-development pricing without the risk normally associated with a newer community.

Meet Rick and Holly Wolfert from Greensboro, Georgia.
Experience living in another Reynolds community convinced them that BRMC was a great choice for a second home.
When Rick and Holly Wolfert heard that Reynolds was expanding to a community in Blowing Rock, they were intrigued. “As property owners since 2001 at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, we have personally experienced the growth and development of one of the preeminent master planned communities in the southeastern United States,” says Rick. “We have seen firsthand the commitment Reynolds Plantation has to the highest quality and finest standards, and over the years the strategic development has consistently exceeded our expectations.”
When they were invited to experience the Reynolds community in Blowing Rock, they were impressed. “What we experienced at the Blue Ridge Mountain Club was simply breathtaking…a pristine mountain property with long views, abundant wildlife, and the creeks and waterfalls along many of the trails. We saw that substantially all the roads and utility infrastructure were already in place. Having experienced Reynolds-developed amenities over the years, we were pleased to learn the details of the plans for the Blue Ridge Mountain Club village and the 18-hole Rees Jones golf course. Blue Ridge Mountain Club had very attractive pricing that offered us what we believe is a superb value. Since acquiring our three-acre lot at the beginning of the year, we broke ground on a four-bedroom timber home in March that will be completed this fall. We have been impressed with the professionalism, property development experience and customer-oriented mindset of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club management team.”
