Explore living in western North Carolina:

DID YOU KNOW
How can you know about a community that doesn’t exist? In many cases, the experts at Private Mountain Communities have the scoop on communities that have not yet been introduced to the public. Ask what’s new.

Four Season Climate

Western North Carolina’s four distinct, but mild, seasons are a natural attraction for many who come here to escape the grey winters up north or the heat and humidity of Florida and the Low Country. This is the ideal climate to enjoy all the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Each season brings its own pleasures. Spring comes early. Summers are simply delightful. Autumn is magnificent, with visitors flocking here to enjoy the kaleidoscope of leaves. And winter offers just enough snow keep skiers and snowboarders happy, and children and adults exited about the possibility of a white holiday season.

The climate is thoroughly liveable. In fact, Asheville’s annual snowfall is only 13 inches. Yet, a quick trip will get you on to snow covered slopes. Be ready to enjoy it all. Bring your hiking boots, skis, tennis racquets, golf clubs, fishing poles and kayaks. We promise the weather will rarely be an excuse to stay inside.
